LEAD Schools vs. Provincial Conferences

February 1, 2011

Welcome back to Terminology Tuesday! Each Tuesday we will blog about some commonly misused terms within the Fraternity. It’s our hope that you take some time to read, laugh, smile, and then use the information to alter your word choices, and the choices of those around you.

Deltasig will kick off the LEAD Provincial Conference season Friday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana! Leadership and Excellence Academies for Deltasigs (LEAD) focus on educational development of all members of the Fraternity.

In the fall, Deltasig hosts five LEAD Schools around the country. The registration fee at these events includes education, leadership and professional development sessions; lunch; materials and unlimited networking opportunities for all attendees.

The Fraternity hosts five LEAD Provincial Conferences in the spring, one in each province.  The registration fee includes educational, leadership and professional development sessions; lunch; banquet and dance; materials and unlimited networking opportunities for all attendees. Personal, professional and leadership development, as well as operational topics are offered at these events designed for collegiate and alumni attendees. Provincial Councils meet at each meeting and vote on proposed changes to National Bylaws and Fraternity Ritual.

LEAD Schools are a one day event, while LEAD Provincial Conferences typically begin Friday evening and end Sunday morning. What is your favorite LEAD experience?
