What is GIN Systems?

November 27, 2012

Welcome back to Terminology Tuesday! Each Tuesday we will blog about some commonly misused terms within the Fraternity. It’s our hope that you take some time to read, laugh, smile, and then use the information to alter your word choices, and the choices of those around you.

Delta Sigma Pi partnered with Group Interactive Networks (GIN) and each collegiate chapter—and its alumni— has an online members-only system (called the GIN System) at no cost to the chapter! The GIN System brings chapter communication online. Everything chapters need to manage the chapter and connect with members (collegiate, alumni and pledges) can be found in one central place and accessed at any time.

When the chapter needs to share an announcement, send a reminder about the dues deadline, poll the chapter about a social event or have members sign up for a service event, it can do that, and more, online, in GIN. The system also has file sharing, mass text messaging, discussion boards, an online calendar with automatic text and email reminders, and more.

GIN is private to each chapter—each user has his/her own username and password—and only members who have been added by the chapter can access the system. If you have not received an email inviting you to join GIN, please contact your chapter (if you need contact information, please contact the Central Office). Although only collegiate chapters have GIN, alumni can join their chapter of initiation’s GIN System to keep up-to-date with news and events. The GIN System Application can also be added to your Facebook page, making it easy to check GIN while on Facebook, so members won’t miss important updates. Visit for more information.

How is your chapter using the GIN System?
