How successful is your chapter?

December 10, 2012

Each week we will blog about a relevant Deltasig resource that corresponds with Fraternity events, deadlines or Deltasig monthly blog themes. It’s our hope that you read these resources and find them helpful.

This week we wanted to highlight the Key Factors for the Most Successful Chapters.

  • An officer report is submitted to the Central Office during 1st week of each term and for summer
  • 8 professional activities per year (evenly divided by semester or quarter)
  • 6 service activities per year (evenly divided by semester or quarter)
  • 2 profitable fundraisers each semester or quarter
  • Chapter business meeting once per week (except holidays & summers)
  • Executive Committee meeting once per week (except holidays & summers)
  • Ongoing emphasis on scholarship and academic performance
  • Dues paid promptly (before 30 day deadline at beginning of each term)
  • Representation at every LEAD event (2 per year)
  • 2 initiations completed per year; pledge applications submitted promptly before each pledging ceremony; initiate report and fees; submitted promptly after each initiation ceremony
  • Membership maintained at 20 or more
  • No past due financial obligations (individual member and chapter obligations)
  • No violations to Bylaws, Ritual, pledging policies, or the Risk Management, Insurance and Conduct Policy
  • Strategic plans, financial statements, and pledge program kept current and submitted by December and June due dates.
  • Ongoing effort to increase awareness on campus and build faculty support for the chapter
  • At least 50% of members at each meeting and activity

Enjoy!
