Who can join Delta Sigma Pi?

February 19, 2013

Welcome back to Terminology Tuesday! Each Tuesday we will blog about some commonly misused terms within the Fraternity. It’s our hope that you take some time to read, laugh, smile, and then use the information to alter your word choices, and the choices of those around you.

With recruitment season in full swing, many chapters wonder who they can recruit. Delta Sigma Pi only allows business majors to be initiated into the Fraternity. According to our National Policies and Procedure, Delta Sigma Pi does not admit students in associate degree or certificate programs, nor those taking business classes in non-degree programs or business minors.

Potential members include business majors and economics majors (including all concentrations offered by the business school such as accounting, marketing, etc.) and other qualified majors approved by Fraternity policy. For a full list of approved majors on your campus, please go to the Reports Module of the Hub (Chapter Information, Qualified Programs List).  If you have a recruit with a major not listed, please complete a Qualified Program Request found in the Forms Module of the Hub to be approved by your Provincial Vice President.  Please direct questions to your Provincial Vice President or Dale Clark.

Check out the Chapter Operations Manual for Recruiting or Deltasig E-Learning for more information and recruitment tips.
