Seattle Mariners

Welcome back to a special edition of Fun Fact Friday! During the month of February we highlighted special spots in Seattle that you should see during your visit for Grand Chapter Congress! We continue into March with a fun fact about the Seattle Mariners baseball team that plays at Safeco Field, one of the stops during the Friday night outing at Grand Chapter Congress. The team was honored with the Commissioner’s Historic Achievement Award in recognition of their record-setting 2001 season; the only team to win this award that otherwise has only been given to individuals. The Mariners racked up a record-tying 116 victories on their way to winning the AL West by 14 games over the Oakland A’s.
